Phyllis Helen Suemnick

PHYLLIS H. SUEMNICK, age 96, of Waseca died Thursday, September 10, 2020, at Lake Shore Inn in Waseca.

Born in Waseca County, Minnesota on September 10, 1924, she was the daughter of Robert and Erma (Wood) Halle. Phyllis graduated from Waseca Central High School in 1942. She married Walter E. Suemnick on December 10, 1945, at the First Congregational Church in Waseca. Phyllis worked for many years at the E.F. Johnson Co. in Waseca and
later worked at Hammer’s, Villager East, and LJ Limited clothing stores in Waseca. She
enjoyed traveling the world and doing lunch with friends. Phyllis was a member of
First Congregational Church in Waseca and the Waseca VFW Auxiliary.

Phyllis survived by one son, Dale Suemnick; one daughter, Karen (Cal) Below; grandson,
Sam (Bridget) Below all of Waseca; one great grandson, Clay; one sister, Mildred Suemnick of Waseca; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Wayne Halle.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, October 9, 2020 at First Congregational Church in Waseca, with Rev. Derrick Skoglund officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church on Friday. A private family interment will be held at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
