Peggy Sexton was born on May 23, 1926, in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Orrin and Lettie (Griswold) Holmes. She graduated from Custer High School in 1944. She furthered her education at the University of Minnesota where she met John (Jack) Sexton. They Married at St. Rose of Lima Church in Hill City, South Dakota by Fr. Fuhrbach on November 26, 1944. They moved to Palo Alto while Jack served in the United State Navy at Moffitt Field Air Station. Following Jacks honorable discharge, they moved to Mankato in 1946 to raise their 13 children. Peggy and Jack were long time members of St. Peter & Paul Parish. In 1976, they moved to Janesville where they designed, built, and devoted themselves to the Holy Spirit Retreat Center on Lake Elysian. They retired to Socorro, New Mexico for twelve years of warmth and sunny skies, returning home to Janesville in 2008, to be closer to family. Peggy was devoted to her family and was always interested and supportive of all their endeavors.

Peggy lived well because she loved well. She especially loved her grandchildren. Peggy was devoted to her family and God as she had a special devotion to Mary and the rosary. She loved to travel and attend family gatherings. Peggy was generous with a warm spirit. She had faith like a rock in Jesus that was a beacon to family and friends. She had a sharp and curious mind and was a frequent visitor to the library. Later in life Peggy became an avid Twins fan.

Blessed be her memory.
