Pauline Miller
PAULINE MILLER, age 58, of Waseca, MN died on Saturday, September 8, 2018 just a month after having been diagnosed with cancer.
Pauline Carmel, the daughter of Alvin Sr. and Lucille (Kahnke) Miller, was born on May 23, 1960 in Waseca. She attended Sacred Heart and graduated from Waseca High School in 1979. She continued her education at the South Central Technical College and achieved a secretarial degree in 1994. Pauline had a twenty-plus year career as a customer service professional, spending the past several years as a Wal-mart cashier and also as a Dominos Pizza driver. As a third job, she often cared for elderly people and cleaned homes and businesses. In addition to her career accomplishments, Pauline was a loving mother and devoted friend.
Pauline was an excellent cook and enjoyed serving Thanksgiving dinner for all who wished to attend. After being told her weight put her life in jeopardy, she dedicated herself to healthy eating, to walking and to working out. Having lost nearly half her body weight, Pauline was a huge fan of Herbalife products and support system.
She enjoyed crocheting and making cards. Of the many things Pauline loved, above all she loved people. As a very spiritual person, she put the world on her shoulders and in her prayers. She donated time to her church, her community and anyone who needed to just talk.
For years Paulines friends, co-workers, and family looked to her for her cheery smile; customer satisfaction was her forte; people might say she went the extra mile to help those in need, but the truth is more potent. She "ran marathons" to help those around her! It didnt really matter what they needed; she put in extra hours just to see their smiles. She was a selfless soul, happiest when others benefitted from her help. Every person who came in contact with Pauline went on to live better lives because of her. She was a loving and dedicated mother, taking care of her children and putting their needs before her own. After they moved to I-Can, she kept on helping those in need. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her children, Matthew and Michael, her siblings, Sister Ramona, OSF, Alvin (Donna), Kathleen, Robert, Patricia (Glen), Marylu, Diane, John (Sandy), Jan Irene (Jim), Linda, Helen (Tom), Art (Michelle), Dolores, Marty, Alice, Angi (John), Marcia (Randy), Greg (Karen), and Damien (Claudia); and by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Lucille Miller, by her sister, Rose Ann Miller, and her sister Virginia (Miller) Pelto. Services will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Christ Community Church in Waseca and interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waseca. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the church.
