Patricia Ann Loeffler was born on June 17, 1934, in McPherson Township, Blue Earth County. She was the daughter of Marjorie Schorn. Pat grew up in rural St. Clair and attended Loyola High School, graduating with the class of 1952. Following her education, she worked various jobs in the area. In 1956, Pat began working for Waseca County. She worked in the auditors, treasurer, clerk of court and assessors offices before becoming Deputy Treasurer in 1975. The final four years of her career she held the position of County Treasurer. After 42 years, she retired in 1998.
On March 5, 1962, Pat was united in marriage to John Loeffler at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Clair. Together they raised three daughters. They lived on a farm site outside of Janesville for many years until John retired in 1993, when they moved to Janesville. In 2003, John had a stroke that required full time care. Pat was a loyal and dedicated wife as she cared for John for 13 years before he passed away on September 22, 2016. Together they shared 55 years of marriage.
Pat was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Clair. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and playing cards. Pat also enjoyed watching her granddog, Hunter. Above all else, Pat was a devoted wife, mom and friend, and she would do anything for anyone. She will be dearly missed.
