ORVILLE OTTO KRIENKE, age 82 of Waseca died peacefully on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the Lake Shore Inn in Waseca.
Born on April 11, 1936 in Alton Township, Waseca County, Minnesota, he was the son of Otto and Delia (Roeker) Krienke.  He attended school in rural Le Sueur County before graduating from Waterville High School in 1954.  He went on to serve in the U.S. Army from 1955 until his honorable discharge in 1957. 
Orville married Lorna Berndt on June 24, 1961 at St. Peters "Bell" Lutheran Church.  Orville was employed as a machinist at the E.F. Johnson Co. in Waseca for 40 years.   He enjoyed playing euchre, trapping, hunting, fishing, and growing a vegetable garden which he enjoyed sharing the vegetables with friends and family.  He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville where he served as an usher, elder, and a member of the finance board.  He was also a member of American Legion Post 311 in Elysian.
He is survived by his wife, Lorna of Waseca; three daughters Lori Hudyma of Eagan and family friend, Lee Dobos, Tammy Krienke of Faribault, and Renee (Scott) Peddycoart of Brooklyn Park; and two grandchildren, Brandon and Alyssa Peddycoart.  He is also survived by two sisters, Arlene OBrien of Le Center and Janet Myrvold of Windom; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; his hospice buddy, Dan and hospice nurse, Jane.   He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Caryl Krienke and Robin Nagel; one brother, Steven Krienke; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Everett and Ellen Berndt.
Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 3-7 PM and continue on Thursday, one hour before services at the church.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville.   Burial will follow at Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville.
