Myrtle C. Brandenburg, age 94, of Pemberton passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Oaklawn Rehabilitation Center in Mankato.

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Freedom Township with Pastor Larry Sipe officiating. Interment will be held at Freedom Lutheran Cemetery.

Arrangements are being completed by Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Janesville. Myrtle Christine, daughter of A. Claude and Mary (Klemenhagen) Randall, was born on September 23, 1921 on a farm near Ottawa, Minnesota, along the Minnesota River. She graduated from high school in St. Peter. She was united in marriage to Eldo Brandenburg on July 26, 1944 in Waseca. Myrtle helped Eldo with the farm and took care of the house. She kept the family well supplied with her gardens, canning, and cooking. She created memories for many people by decorating beautiful birthday, wedding, and other cakes. Her art also included ceramics, sewing, and flowers. She was also involved with church and community groups.

Myrtle is survived by her loving children, Gary (Leslie) Brandenburg of Lauderdale, MN, Ralph (Mavis) Brandenburg of Pemberton, and Marlene (Rick) Johnson of Waseca; grandchildren, Laurie (Dan) Brandenburg of Easton, MN, Lisa Brandenburg of North Mankato, Michaela Gehring of Eagan, and Briana Gehring of Apple Valley; great grandchildren, Gavin, Garret, Jacob, Connor, Lucas, Makenna, Kadence, and Ethan; and by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eldo, her parents, and siblings, Lottie, Ward, Wilbur, Edna, Clem, Vivian, and Paige.
