Muriel R. Mace, age 92, of Mankato formerly of St. Clair died peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Brookdale in Mankato.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 2, at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Clair. Interment is in the church cemetery. Visitation will be for two hours prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Memorials preferred.

Muriel Mace was born on October 8, 1924 in Blue Earth County to Otto and Lydia (Jennrich) Froehlich. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Johns Lutheran Church. She attended school in St. Clair and graduate with the class of 1942.
On January 8, 1946, Muriel was united in marriage to Gerald Mace. Together they raised four children and shared 44 years of marriage. For three years, they operated Maces Caf in St. Clair. Muriel later worked for Hunter Produce, Boswell Greenhouse and at St. Clair School as the head cook. After retiring as the head cook she worked at school as a Title One Aid until her health no longer allowed. Muriel later worked for Carlson Craft and was also an Avon representative.
Muriel was a lifelong member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in St. Clair where she was active in Ladies Aid. She taught Sunday School for several years, and worked as the church Custodian. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 475 in St. Clair, Sugar, and Spice Extension Club, 500 Card Club and Birthday Club. She held various offices in these organizations. She enjoyed volunteering her time to the Red Cross Blood Mobile. Muriel also liked playing golf, cards, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends.
Muriels Family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Brookdale, the Visiting Angels and St. Croix Hospice for the wonderful care their mom received over the last years.
She is survived by her three daughters: Bonnie (Ronald) Roalson of St. Clair, Geraldine (David) Sonday of St. Clair, Geneva (Paul) Mueller of Mankato; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren: James (Kimberly) Roalson and their children: Rebecca, Megan Jeremy (Jolene) Sonday and their children: Mia & Sophie; Jennifer (David) Stenger and their children: Logan, Ella Dan (Wendy) Sonday and their son Dylan; Gretchen (Erick) Lind and their children: Henrick Heidi Mueller, Joseph Mueller and his daughter, Genna Mueller; Tanner (Tasha) Mace and Brandon Mace; daughter-in-law Shawn (Mace) Sickler of Madison Lake; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald; parents; son, Nathan; grandson, Andrew Roalson; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Lempi Froehlich.
