Molly A. Ames September 12, 1965 - November 12, 2014

Molly A. Ames, age 49 of Faribault, died Wednesday, November 13, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her family, following an extended illness.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault with the Rev. Lisa Kruse officiating.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Molly Ann, the daughter of Charles and Shirley (Hollister) Herrin, was born on September 12, 1965 in Luverne, MN. Molly''s family would later move to Faribault and she attended Faribault High School and graduated with the class of 1983. On September 13, 1996 she was united in marriage to Calvin C. Ames Jr. in Faribault. Molly worked at different businesses in Faribault including as manager at Total Entertainment Center, Our Homes South as a manager and as a job coach at Epic Enterprises. Molly loved working and spending time with the clients at Our Homes South and Epic Enterprises. She took great pride in each day spent with them. Molly was a wonderful, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She loved being a grandmother and time spent with her grandchildren. Molly enjoyed painting her nails and toe nails and was very meticulous about this. She also enjoyed photography, music and watching Dancing With The Stars and The Price Is Right. Molly had been a volunteer for the Straight River Stroll for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin Ames of Faribault; by her daughter, Toinette (Toni Shaske) (& Brandon) Gliem of Faribault; by two grandchildren, Anika and Brayden Gliem; by her mother, Shirley Herrin of Faribault; by two brothers, Rick Herrin of Faribault and Jim Herrin and Dani Neil of Faribault; by her sister-in-law, Lisa Kruse of Waterloo, IA and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, cousin Angie Genella and her father and mother-in-law, Calvin C. Ames Sr. and Jaunita Ames.
