Mildred Esther Lang was born on August 28, 1922 in Mankato, to Frank A. and Kathrine (Frank) Rudenick. She was raised on a farm in rural Nicollet. She moved to Mankato while attending Immanuel Lutheran School until 8th Grade. Following her education she moved back home where she helped on the farm. On February 16, 1939, Mildred was united in marriage to Lynden A. Lang at Immanuel Lutheran Church Parsonage in Mankato. Together they raised 4 children on the Lang family farm outside of Janesville. They shared 53 years of marriage prior to Lyndens passing on April 15, 1992.
Mildred was a longtime and faithful member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Clair where she was active in the CCW and always sat in the front row. She was a hard worker, always taking care of the chickens on the farm and mowing the lawn. Mildred enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, cooking, baking and especially bingo. She will always be remembered for her homemade cake donuts from scratch. She was a kind hearted person who would do anything for anyone, she was easy going and looked forward to cooking her Sunday meals for her friends and family. She was proud that she was able to go fishing with each one of her grandsons. Mildred especially enjoyed the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Jerome (Mary Alice) Lang of Janesville, Sharon Benning of Janesville, Thomas (Kathryn) Lang of Janesville, and Marion Stankoski of Apple Valley; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Evelyn Rudenick of Mankato; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
