Michael T. Lynch, 60 year old resident of Fountain City, WI, formerly of Waseca, died on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Starkson & Steffel Funeral & Cremation Service ~ Arnoldt Chapel of Janesville with Fr. Michael Cronin, officiating. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery following the service.
Visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Starkson & Steffel Funeral & Cremation Service ~ Arnoldt Chapel of Janesville. Visitation will continue for one hour on the day of the service at the funeral home.

Michael Thomas was born on February 7, 1958 in St. Paul to Thomas and Sharon (Allen) Lynch. He attended St. Bernard Catholic School in St. Paul before his family moved to Rosemount where he graduated from high school with the class of 1976. Following his education Mike enlisted into the United States Marines proudly serving his country until 1981. While in the Marines, Mike was united in marriage to Deb Skidmore, together they had three children and were later divorced. In 1995, he was united in marriage to Kelly Jo (Weldon) Daschner at the Parsonage House in Bloomington. Together, Mike and Kelly raised their five children while living in Waseca. In 2004, Mike and Kelly moved to Fountain City where they have resided for the past 14 years.
Following his time in the Marines, Mike attended school in Red Wing, receiving his HVAC Certificate. He began working for Lockerby and later for Browns Printing. In 1997, Mike went back to school to be an electrician in Albert Lea and began working for the union in Minneapolis and later for Thorns Refrigeration in Winona until his health no longer allowed.
Mike loved spending time in his flower gardens and tending to his field of tomatoes. He was a great cook, always prepared to serve a large crowd. Mike enjoyed going on family camping trips, and spending any time he could with his wife, children and grandchildren. His family fondly remembers him for his selflessness, and as a loving and caring father. He will be dearly missed.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Kelly; children: Mychelle (Jamie Harshman) Lynch of New Richland, Johnathan (Jessica Conrath) Lynch of Gilmanton, WI, Jeremiah Lynch of Fountain City, WI, Travis (Heather Anthony) Daschner of Waseca, and Edward (Brittney Sullivan) Daschner of Madison Lake; grandchildren: Bryce, Mason and Conner Oakland, Daltyn Harshman, Jersey Lynch, Rylan Daschner, Harlynn Daschner; siblings: Cheryl (Bob) Young of Cokato, Kelly Nordby of Hartland, WI, Jim (Wendy) Lynch of Apple Valley and Pat Lynch of Nebraska; mother, Sharon (Arvin) Nemmers of Lampe, MO; father-in-law, William (Erika) Weldon, sister-in-law: Michelle (Jerry) Beveridge of Janesville; brothers-in-law: Todd (Tammy) Weldon of Faribault and Gordon (Denise) Rye Jr. of Janesville; step father-in-law, Monte Loney of Denver, CO; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Lynch; mother-in-law, Ann Loney; step father-in-law, Gordon Rye Sr.
