Michael Henry Mike Myers

Michael "Mike" Myers, age 69, of Waseca died Monday morning, October 7, 2019, at his home in Waseca.
A graveside service will be 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at Calvary Cemetery in Waseca with military honors performed by the Waseca American Legion and Waseca VFW.

Michael Henry Myers was born on June 6, 1950, to Henry and Rita (Matz) Myers in Waseca. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School through 11th Grade and graduated from Central High School in Waseca in 1969. Following his education, Mike enlisted into the United States Air Force. He was stationed in the Philippines during the Vietnam War as a Tech Sargent and Aircraft Mechanic. Mike proudly served his country for 20 years being honorably discharged in 1989. When he returned home to Waseca, Mike began a 19 year career with Brown Printing as a Master Machine Operator and in 2007, he began working for Hy-Vee until retiring in 2012.
While stationed in the Philippines, he was united in marriage to Conception Datur and together they had four children and was later divorced. On December 24, 1982, Mike was united in marriage to Joyce Lloyd in California and together they had one daughter. Mike enjoyed traveling in his younger years, watching football, especially the Minnesota Vikings. Above all else he loved his family. He will be dearly missed.
Michael is survived by his fianc: Joyce Lloyd of Waseca; children: Joe Myers of Austin, Michael (Crystal) Myers of Waseca, Melissa (Fianc, Michael Erdman) Bohman of Weston, WI, Maria (Rhys) Wallace of Prior Lake, and Amber (David) Jaros of Amboy; sisters: Shirley (Wallace) Schoeb of Nissawa, and Sharon (John) Olson of Wabasha; brothers: John Myers of Waseca and Paul Myers of Sioux Falls; step-brothers: Timothy (Mary) Wendinger of Mankato and James Wendinger of Owatonna; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his mother, Rita Wendinger; father, Henry Myers; and stepfather: Cletus Wendinger.
