MAY C. HOELMER, age 91 of Waseca, died on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Janesville Nursing Home.
Born on March 7, 1927 in Osage, Iowa, May was the daughter of Henry and Carrie (Mau) Walston.  After graduating from Truman High School in 1945, she was married to Robert Hoelmer on September 30, 1945.  They raised their family together in Truman for many years before moving to Waseca in 1998.  May enjoyed sewing, baking, and gardening.  She was a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Truman and was a current member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca. 
May is survived by four children, Jeff Hoelmer of Waseca, Jennifer (Greg) Lonsky of Princeton, John (Sharon) Hoelmer of Stillwater, and Julia Quick of River Falls, WI; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth (Roger) Trittelwitz of Lakeville and Joyce (Cyril) Hines of San Diego, CA; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca, with Rev. David Baumgarn officiating.  Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church.  Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Truman.
