MATTHEW JOHN MATSON, age 52, of Waterville, died on April 26, 2023, at Mayo Clinic’s St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Matt was born on March 1, 1971, in Bismarck, North Dakota to Donald and Nancy (Olson) Matson. He attended school in Bismarck and graduated from High School at St. Cloud Apollo with the class of 1989. Matt met the love of his life, Sarah Radermacher, while working in home remodeling and they were married on April 16, 2004. Matt and Sarah began their life together living in Montgomery before spending a short time in Kilkenny. In 2015, they made their home in Waterville while raising three children.
Matt worked various jobs throughout his life, most recently he was employed at Black Forest in Owatonna as a Caster. He also D.J’d at many events throughout his life. Matt enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage, spending time around the campfire, and bartending. Saying he was an avid Minnesota Vikings Fan would be an understatement. He was looking forward to spending time with his wife and children this summer on the boat.
