Mary F. Wheeler, age 93 of Medford, died Friday, February 19, 2010 at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Medford Congregational United Church of Christ, with Pastor Lou Bender, officiating. Interment will be held at the Union Cemetery in Medford. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. The family prefers that memorials be directed to the Medford Congregational United Church of Christ, the Faribault Area Hospice or the donor''s choice. Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault. Mary Francis Irving, the daughter of James and Etta (Canedy) Irving, was born on August 12, 1916 in Northfield, MN. She attended Northfield High School and graduated with the class of 1934. In 1935 she married James Wheeler and from this marriage she had one son James. Mr. Wheeler preceded her in death in 1937. In 1939 she was united in marriage to Lloyd Wheeler in Northwood, IA. Mary was a home maker and stayed at home to raise their family. Lloyd preceded her in death on Dec. 30, 1986. Mary enjoyed traveling with her sister Mabel Bauer and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by four children, Phyllis (Curt) Yule, Shirley Anhorn, Barbara (Darwin) Kasper and Vern (Diane) Wheeler, all of Medford; by 15 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren; by her daughter in law, Jaccie Wheeler of Carpinteria, CA and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, her son James Wheeler, granddaughter, Tammy Yule, three sisters, Nellie Kotavy, Mabel Bauer and Clara Bauer, her brother Milford Canedy and by her son in law, Bob Anhorn.
