Mary McGuire May 21, 1931 - April 25, 2010

Mary L. McGuire, age 78 of Madison Lake, died on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Immanuel-St. Joseph''s Hospital in Mankato. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 29th at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake with Fr. Robert Schneider, Celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Matthews Cemetery, Vernon Center. The McGuire Family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service, at All Saints Catholic Church. Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home and Crematory of Janesville is handling arrangements. Mary Louise was born on May 21, 1931 to Llewelyn and Rose (High) Jones in Judson Township, Blue Earth County, Minnesota. She graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1949 and went on to further her education at Mankato Business College. After her graduation in 1951 she worked as a secretary for various businesses. She was united in marriage to Edward "Eddie" McGuire on May 24, 1952 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lake Crystal. Mary and Eddie farmed in the Lake Crystal and Madison Lake areas their entire married life. In the 1960s she was a waitress at Neary''s Nine Mile Corner, and in the 1970s worked as a secretary for E.F. Johnson Co. in Waseca. She was long time member of All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake where she sang in the church choir and was active in her church circle. Mary enjoyed fishing, cooking, sewing, and playing cards. She especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren. The McGuire Family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Immanuel-St. Joseph''s Hospital and the Hillcrest Nursing Home for the wonderful, loving care they provided for our mother. She is survived by her daughters Debra (Craig) Schmahl of North Mankato, Diane Ytuarte of Waseca, Cynthia (David) Blaschko of St. Peter, and Susan (David) Beard of Hager City, WI; by her 13 grandchildren; by her daughter-in-law Jill McGuire of Edina; by her sisters-in-law Margaret (Clarence) Schulze of Mankato, and Bev McGuire of Red Wing; by her brothers-in-law Wayne Queen of Kirbyville, MO, Earl Ruch of Lake Crystal, and William (Mary Jane) McGuire of Mankato. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward F. McGuire on September 7, 2008; by her two sons Douglas E. McGuire on Nov. 21, 1998 and Richard J. McGuire at infancy on Aug. 7, 1960; by her two daughters Patricia A. McGuire on May 7, 1966 and Linda C. McGuire at infancy on Dec. 25, 1966; by her sisters Violet Queen and Loris Ruch, and her brother Dexter Jones; by her son-in-law Albert G. Ytuarte on Jan. 23, 1988,

and her brother-in-law Paul McGuire.
