Mary K. Kuchinka, age 100, of Faribault, passed away, Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Heritage House Elder Care in Faribault, surrounded by her family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Patrick in Shieldsville, MN. Interment will be held at St. Patrick''s Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.

Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Mary Katherine Breuer, the daughter of Felix and Catherine (Kral) Breuer, was born on September 3, 1913 in New Market Township, Scott County, MN. As a young girl Mary grew up in the New Market area. On November 20, 1935 she was united in marriage to Emil Kuchinka at the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Veseli, MN. Mr. Kuchinka preceded her in death on August 3, 1991. Mary and her husband farmed in Shieldsville Township, near French Lake for many years. Mary enjoyed working on the farm, raising chickens, gardening and being a homemaker. Mary also enjoyed making quilts, braiding rugs and tending her flowers.

She is survived by her three children; Lorraine Dudley of Lonsdale, MN, Jane (Roger) Kubinski of Faribault, MN and Dale Kuchinka of Shieldsville, MN; by eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; by her sister, Lillian (John) Nickolay of Onamia, MN and by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Eleanor Jindra and Emily Dvorak, six brothers, Miles, Charles, Edwin, Edward, Joseph and Laddie Breuer and by her son-in-law, John V. Dudley.
