Mary Jane Greising
MARYJANE (MOELLER) GREISING, age 90, of St. Peter passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at the Benedictine Senior Living Center in St. Peter, surrounded by family.
Born in St. Paul on March 4, 1929, MaryJane was the daughter of Carl and Eleanore (Neveu) Moeller. She graduated from Johnson High School in 1946. MaryJane was married to her sweetheart, Bob, on February 25, 1946. In 1965 they moved to Waterville, Minnesota where she worked as a legal secretary in her husbands law firm. She had many jobs including full-time mom to her brood, working at the American Heart Association, and being a legal secretary for other local law firms near Waterville. She also volunteered teaching catechism, leading a Girl Scout troop, was on a number of committees at her church, and was active in the DFL for many years. MaryJane recently commented on what a wonderful life she had lived: raising seven children, traveling, and having a good time with her family. Mainly, she was a woman of strong will, faith, and love. She wished she could golf just one last time. MaryJane was an accidental master of a turn-of-phrase and was well-known for her "MaryJane-isms". She loved to fly and enjoyed the company of many friends. She will be greatly missed.
MaryJane is survived by her children, Judith (Michael) Keogh of Morristown, Dennis (Shirley) Greising of Rochester, Kevin Greising of Montgomery, Jayme (Deborah) Greising of Waterville, Elise Vollbrecht of Waterville, and Mari (Sydney) Payton of Bloomington; her daughter-in-law, Alice Greising of Lexington Park, MD; 17 grandchildren; many very special great-grandchildren; brothers John Moeller and Gary Moeller; sisters Kay Buchwald, Rosemary Johnston, and Ramona Pavel; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Martin Greising; her son, Robert Thomas Greising; her brother, Carl Moeller, Jr.; her sister, Patricia Casey; her aunts and uncles; her grandsons, Michael Joseph Keogh and Darian Robert Payton; and her daughter-in-law, Laurie Greising. MaryJanes family would like to offer special thanks to all of Mayo Clinics Hospice workers for their exceptional service, as well as the caring staff at Benedictine Court in St. Peter, Minnesota. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville with Rev. Michael Ince officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Saturday. A private family interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
