MARY ANN LUCILLE DUSBABEK, age 96 of Waterville died on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Whispering Creek in Janesville.

Born on June 28, 1924 in Cannon Falls, Minnesota, she was the daughter of William and Dora (Frigaard) Stucky. She attended school in Cannon Falls before graduating from Waterville High School in 1942. Mary Ann went on to graduate from St. Lucas School of Nursing in Faribault in 1945. She married Robert C. Dusbabek on August 15, 1948 in Waterville. Mary Ann worked as a nurse at hospitals in Waseca and Mankato. She also worked for Dr. Buesgens and at Colonial Manor in Waterville. Mary Ann would also work with her husband in operating Dusbabek’s Market.

She enjoyed reading, crosswords, needlepoint, knitting, sewing, and traveling. Mary Ann was a previous member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Waterville and was currently a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church-German Lake.

She is survived by two children, Tom (Carol) Dusbabek of Chandler, AZ and Susan (Bob) Gress of Waterville; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Eva Schulz of Sun City, AZ; sister-in-law, Nancy Minks of Burnsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Jane (Jerry) Downs; one brother, Bill (Pat) Stucky; and brother-in-law, Mel Schulz.

Private family services will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
