Mary A. Kinde March 14, 1949 - June 15, 2015

Mary A. Kinde, age 66, of Faribault, died Monday, June 15, 2015 at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior''s Lutheran Church in Faribault with the Rev. Ashely Osborn, officiating. Interment will be held at the Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday for one hour prior to services.

Mary Alice, the daughter of Ferdinand and Ruth (Langdale) Bendt, was born on March 14, 1949 in Luverne, MN. She attended Luverne High School and graduated with the class of 1967. On May 1, 1993 she was united in marriage to Jerry Kinde at Our Savior''s Lutheran Church. Mary worked for 37 years at the Minnesota State Academy for the Blind as an assistant teacher. During this time Mary founded a Girl Scout Troop at MSAB. She was also part of the Christ Through Hands Ministry at Our Savior''s. She retired from MSAB in 2008.

She is survived by her husband Jerry Kinde of Faribault, MN; by her foster son, Joel Carlson of West Concord, MN; by her brother, James (Diane) Bendt of Sioux Falls, SD; by her sister, Twila (Tom) Simon of New Hope, MN; by her nieces, Stacy Zank and Kacie Mikell; by special friends, Gerald and Genney Lynch of Owatonna, MN and their children, Katie Lynch, Andrew Lynch and Jamie Kuhlman; by their four adopted grandchildren, Dominic, James, Gabriel and Daniel Kuhlman and by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
