MARVIN RAYMOND WADD, age 93 of Waseca died on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Lake Shore Inn in Waseca.
Born on June 16, 1921 in Waseca County, Minnesota, he was the son of Oscar and Anna (Engebretson) Wadd. He attended school in rural Waseca County and graduated from Waseca High School in 1939. He operated the family farm in Blooming Grove Township, Waseca County, Minnesota his entire life and also drove gas truck for Kritzer Oil Co. for several years. He married Beverly Ann Borchardt on December 5, 1948 in Minneapolis. Marvin enjoyed the outdoors. He was a member of North Waseca Lutheran Church where he served on the church council and cemetery board. He also served on the Blooming Grove Township Board for many years.
He is survived by two children, Randy (Marita) Wadd of Waseca and Cathie (Lee) Bolyard of Chaska; four grandchildren, Ann (David) Kuffel, Grant (Beth) Bolyard, Trent (Kari) Wadd, and Lindsay (Jake) Bjerke; and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Lowell (Janice) Wadd of Waseca; sister-in-law, Dorathea Sutter of Waseca; brother-in-law, Daniel (Pat) Borchardt of Port Orchard, WA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one brother, Edgar. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at North Waseca Lutheran Church with Rev. Nancy Hansen officiating. Burial will follow at the North Waseca Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, one hour before services at the church.
