Marjorie Keller November 2, 1916 - August 25, 2012

Marjorie A. Keller, age 95, of Faribault, died on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at her residence at Milestone Community of Faribault with her children at her side. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 31, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Marjorie (Lu) will be interred at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, alongside her husband, Harold (Hairy). Memorial visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault on Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Friday for one hour prior to the services at the church. A prayer service will be held on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Marjorie Ann Kroenke, the daughter of Walter and Lavina (Sutherland) Kroenke, was born on November 2, 1916 in Faribault, MN. She graduated from Faribault High School. Marjorie married Andrew Harold Keller on September 17, 1940 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. Together they enjoyed golfing, rambling the Faribault countryside, and were active at River Bend Nature Center. Harold and Marjorie had a loving marriage and celebrated their 70th anniversary in 2010. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2011. Marjorie was a world class mom: a gourmet cook, seamstress, and knitter for her family. She was also very active in the Faribault community, and a member of the District One Hospital Auxiliary and the Youth Coordinating Council. She was a charter member of the Faribault Art Center and very dedicated to the arts. Her particular passions were oils, pastels, and Chinese brush painting. Much to her delight, her passion was also shared with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Michael (Michele) Keller of Bellevue, WA, and Ann (Wes) Judkins of North Mankato, MN, daughter-in-law, Anne Keller of Longmont, CO; five grandchildren, Monique, Meghan (Tony), Jesse, Andrew, and Alexander (Christa); three great grandchildren, Kevin, Waverly, and Cora; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; parents; son, Andrew D. Keller; son in infancy, Mark; and brother, Bud Kroenke. Memorials may be directed to the Paradise Center for the Arts or River Bend Nature Center in memory of Marjorie.
