Marjorie Ann Priebe

MARJORIE ANN PRIEBE, age 88 of Waseca died on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Foxdale Memory Care in Waseca.

Born on May 29, 1931 in Steele County, she was the daughter of Merle and Calesta (Reese) Hoy. Margie married Richard Priebe on June 2, 1949 at Le Sueur River Lutheran Church. They farmed in Waseca County until moving to Waseca in 2004 and then moving to Colony Court in 2013. She loved flowers and made the best apple and rhubarb pies. She enjoyed playing UNO with her grandchildren and watching her great-grandchildren play. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid of Otisco.

Margie is survived by three children, Kathy (Dave) Guse of Waseca, Rick (Julie) Priebe of Le Sueur, Lorrie (Leroy) Bluhm of Janesville; six grandchildren, Matt (Kristen) Guse of Waconia, Michael (Krista) Guse of Rio, WI, Andy (Alissa) Guse of New Prague, Nathan (Abby) Guse of Ramsey, Josh (Kate) Bluhm of Clarks Grove, and Angie Bluhm (special friend, Jesse Tesdahl) of Janesville; eleven great-grandchildren, Aaron, Rachel, Jenna, Joel, Alex, Aiden, Adam, Addison, Kamden, Emerson, and Maddox Guse. She is also survived by one brother, Danny Hoy of Garden Grove, CA; sister-in-law, Judy Hoy of Faribault; brothers-in-law, Bernard Matejcek of Waseca and Curtis Underdahl of Barnes, WI; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Jan Matejcek and Shirley Underdahl; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrell (Lucille) Hoy, Doug (Alta) Hoy, and Merle Hoy Jr.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lester (Doris) Priebe and Norman (Mabel) Priebe.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2020 from 4-7 PM at the Third Street Chapel of Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in New Richland. Burial will be at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
