Marjorie A. Wadekamper February 22, 1943 - February 9, 2014
Marjorie A. Wadekamper, age 70, of Faribault, died Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, surrounded by her family, following an extended illness.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Patrick, Shieldsville, MN. Interment will be held at the Church of St. Patrick Cemetery in the spring.
Memorial visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to services.
Marjorie Ann Weber, the daughter of Joseph and Lucille (Walters) Weber, was born on February 22, 1943 in Medford, MN. She attended Medford High School and graduated with the class of 1961. On December 17, 1976 she was united in marriage to Rudolph Wadekamper in Morristown, MN. Rudy preceded her in death on April 12, 1999. Marge worked for several years at different butcher shops in the area including, Dennison Meat Locker, Williams Meats and Schatz Meat Market. She also worked seasonally for Donahue''s Greenhouse. Marge was one the founding members of the Loving Hands of Hope organization that made quilts for children that were diagnosed with cancer and were at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital and were also given to other organizations that helped people in need. Marge enjoyed volunteering at the Clothes Closet in Faribault and also at the Church of St. Patrick, mainly with funeral lunches. Marge also enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, sewing, traveling, fishing, working in her many gardens and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, William (Norma) Jones, Carol (Lonnie) Kuhns, Richard Jones, Robert (Sandi) Jones, Dennis Jones and Penelope Wadekamper; by her stepson, Neil (Lisa) Wadekamper; by 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; by her brother, Robert Weber; by her sister-in-law, Bernie Weber and by other relatives and friends.
She Genevieve was preceded Jones. in death by her parents, her husband and by her granddaughter,
