Marion Verna Ketzeback

MARION VERNA KETZEBACK, age 89, of Waterville, died on Sunday morning, October 17, 2021 at Traditions in Waterville.

Born on April 9, 1932, in Waterville to Aaron and Vera (Von Sien) Shifflett. She received her education at Waterville Public Schools. Marion was united in marriage to Lyle Reid in 1950, having three daughters and they were later divorced. She was united in marriage to Roger Ketzeback in 1968, together they had one son and were later divorced. Marion worked at Backmans in Waterville candling eggs and at Johnson Control in Waseca before working at the Faribault State Hospital where she retired from in 1995. In retirement, Marion enjoyed traveling, and going out for coffee with friends. She was known to always have her hair done. Marion enjoyed going for drives around the lake, and watching TV, especially CNN and The Weather Channel. Her family fondly remembers her unique sense of humor as she could find the joy in any situation. She will be dearly missed.

Marion is survived by her children: Rhonda Thielbar of Poulsbo, WA, Roxanne (Thomas) Slechta of Waseca, and Todd Ketzeback of Richfield; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two brothers: Dave and Marke Shifflett; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Pam; great grandson, Brady; and two brothers: Robert and Joyace.

Private interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery in Waseca.
