Marion H. Rodewald, age 95, of Faribault, MN, died Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Memorial visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.
Marion Helen was born on May 25, 1919 to Charles and Helen (Caron) Molloy in Faribault. She grew up in Faribault and graduated valedictorian from Bethlehem Academy. She lived on the family farms in Faribault and Dundas prior to retiring to Lutsen in 1977, then to Grand Marais in 1985. She and Don traveled extensively with Alaska being their favorite location (11 times for Marion) which they hosted for several groups. Marion entered Sunrise Nursing Home, Two Harbors, in 2004 and in 2010 relocated to St. Lucas Care Center, Faribault prior to death. She was a longtime member of both the I.C. Catholic Church (Divine Mercy), Faribault and St. John''s, Grand Marais.
She is survived by son Donald R. (Chris) of Dundas, MN, daughter Mary A. (James) Sutter of Colfax, IA, son Edward C. (Cheryl) of Grand Marais, MN, and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband Donald E. Rodewald, September 30, 1998.
