Marilyn J. Lykken

MARILYN J. (DANIELSON) LYKKEN, age 82 of Waseca, died Monday, July 31, 2023, in Redwood Falls, Minnesota.

Born April 14, 1941, in Lanesboro, MN, a daughter of the late Elnor and Myrtle (Olson) Danielson. She graduated from Lanesboro High School, Class of 1959. On February 1, 1974, she married Richard Lykken in South Dakota. Marilyn loved her family, she enjoyed fishing, baking, crafting, knitting, crocheting, and going to casinos.

She is survived by her husband Richard; children, Katherine Bruhn of Burnsville, Lorrie (Brad) Kohl of Harlan, Iowa, Patricia (Kevin) Kirchberg of St. Michael, Tammy (Todd) Zimmerman of Mankato; grandchildren, Larry (Romina) Esk of Omaha, Nebraska, Jesse (Angie) Bruhn of Elko New Market, Lindsey Bruhn of Minneapolis, April (Steve) Riley of Harlan, Samantha Kirchberg (Shayne Zurn) of Maple Grove, Alex Kirchberg of St. Michael, Alexis Overholt (Jon Aumann) of Des Moines, Iowa, Bella Overholt of Mankato; great-grandchildren, Amelia Bruhn of Elko New Market, Christina Kirchberg of St. Michael, Charles Riley of Harlan, Skyler Rockwell-Esk, Ashton Rockwell-Esk, Amelia Esk all of Omaha; siblings, Linda (Tom) Jensen, Marlys Paulson (Elvin Paulson), Darlene Sutherland; sister-in-law, Linda Danielson; several nieces, nephews and extended relatives.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Danny Lykken; siblings, DeLoyce Danielson (brother who died in infancy), Roger Danielson, Gloria Vrieze, and her husband Nevin, Phyllis Ellis and her husband David, Gerald Danielson and his wife Barb, Bob Danielson, Vernon Danielson and his wife Jackie; sister-in-law; Marge Danielson; brother-in-law Bruce Sutherland.

Visitation will be held, Sunday, August 13, 2023, from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service, Third Street Chapel. Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service is handling the arrangements.
