MARILYN BEAVENS, age 77 of Waterville, died on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.
Born in Arlington, Minnesota on January 26, 1941, Marilyn was the daughter of Raymond and Selma (Stuedemann) Bandemer. Marilyn spent most of her childhood around the Arlington area where she attended school. On June 21, 1957 she married Melvin Beavens in Waterville. She spent most of her working life with Jerome Foods in Faribault. She loved playing bingo and spending time with friends and family. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Marilyn will be greatly missed by her surviving family but they are comforted to know that after 37 years she has been reunited with her husband and son.
Marilyn is survived by two children, Linda Beavens (George Kley) of LeSueur, and Steven Beavens of Waterville; three grandchildren, Michael (Brittany) Beavens of New Ulm, Lori Morsching and her fiancé Jeremy Regensheid of Fort Dodge, IA, and Mary (Jason) Alitz of St. Peter; nine great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews including one special niece, Donna Bruske of Waterville. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband; one son, Larry Beavens; two sisters-in-law, Violet Sell and Sue Beavens; and two brothers-in-law, Lester Sell and Donald Beavens. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waterville, with Rev. J.J. Morgan officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville.
