EDNA MARIE WELLS, age 94 of Waseca died on Monday, November 27, 2017 at her home.
Born on October 5, 1923 in Deepwater, Missouri, she was the daughter of Leslie and Edna (York) Henry.  She graduated from Osceola High School in Osceola, MO.  Marie married Leland Wells on November 2, 1940 in Osceola.  They moved to Waseca in 1949 where she worked at the E.F. Johnson Co. for several years and then managed the Minneapolis Star Tribune in Waseca until it closed.  She also cared for her mother until she passed away.  Marie was an active member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Waseca until its closing. She then joined Faith United Methodist Church.  Marie also enjoyed quilting with the ladies at St. Paul Lutheran Church.  She also enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and reading her bible.  Marie tried to be a friend to all.
She is survived by one son, Leslie Wells of Waseca; two grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two daughters, Rose Mary Mallicoat and Beulah Marie Rodney. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Faith United Methodist Church in Waseca.   Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.  Visitation will be held on Friday, one hour before services at the church.
