Marie J. Craig July 29, 1936 - December 30, 2012

Marie J. Craig, age 76, of Faribault, died peacefully on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at her home following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Bethel Ridge Lutheran Church in Faribault, with the Rev. Ronald Wik, pastor officiating. Interment will be held at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Marie Janet Karow, the daughter of John and Marian (Schippel) Karow was born on July 29, 1936 in Faribault, MN. She attended Faribault High School and graduated with the class of 1954. She was united in marriage to Allan Dahl on September 17, 1976 in Nashua, IA. Mr. Dahl preceded her in death on June 30, 1997. On February 14, 1999 she married Clyde "Sonny" Craig at the Bethel Ridge Lutheran Church. Marie worked as a claims adjuster for 15 years for the U.S. Air Force and needed to retire early because of health reasons. Marie enjoyed her puppy Buttons, sewing, going to garage sales and flea markets, dancing and spending time at her home affectionately named "The Crow''s Nest". She was a member of the Faribault Aerie 1460 Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Clyde "Sonny" Craig of Faribault; by two stepsons, Nathan (Tonya) Craig of Kenyon and Travis (Chrissy) Craig of Faribault; by five grandchildren, Dylan, Ashley, Tyler, Blake and Owen and by many other friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her first husband Allan Dahl.
