Marie C. Aube, age 86, of Faribault, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 31, 2011, after an extended illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (139 Mercy Drive) in Faribault. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Faribault Area Hospice in memory of Marie. Marie Clara Meyer, the daughter of Peter and Clara (Achilles) Meyer was born on May 3, 1924 in Faribault. On November 11, 1941, Marie was united in marriage to Raymond M. Aube Sr. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. He later preceded her in death on June 3, 1957. Marie worked at various places in Faribault including cooking at A & W Restaurant for Ray and Agnes Unser, Mealey''s Restaurant for Ray Mealey, DeCoux Canteen for Florence and John DeCoux, and Grandpa Al''s for the Jasinski family. Marie also worked at the Faribault Regional Center in the housekeeping department for 25 years until her retirement in 1986. During her free time, she enjoyed volunteering her time with the American Red Cross Bloodmobile and also as a befriender at Divine Mercy Catholic Church. She also spent many hours at the nursing homes visiting and bringing communion to many. With all of her dedication and volunteerism Marie provided to the Faribault area, she was presented with the Faribault Daily News'' Unsung Hero Award. Marie was a great cook and a mentor and friend to many. She was a mom to many, making sure no child went hungry, and always having room for more at their family table. Marie was the ultimate host and made a great home for her family. She devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and loved to spend time with her brothers and sisters. She loved to play cards and with friends and family, fish, and travel. She enjoyed her trips to the casinos with friends and family. She lived at the Aube family farm until 1958, and then lived at her Park Ave. home until 1989 when she moved to Southgate Village until the present. She is survived by her children, Thomas (Bonnie) Aube of Pueblo, CO, Janice (Joseph) Balata of Kilkenny, Arthur (Marilyn) Aube of Faribault, Raymond (Lynn) Aube of Faribault, Sharon (Richard) Carpenter of Watertown, SD, Mary (Donald) Morrissey of Faribault, Susan King of Alexandria, VA, and Peter

(Alane) Parnell friends. sisters, Peter Meyer Lee Irene Aube She of Jr. Meyer, of was Kenyon, and Bemidji, preceded Omer Dorothy MN; MN; Meyer; sister-in-law, in Duchene 24 death grandchildren; son-in-law, by and her Vi Gladys Aube husband; Jim 27 King; of great Meyer; Faribault; parents; and grandchildren; three grandson and son brothers, many in Raymond infancy; brother-in-law, relatives Harold three Aube Meyer, and III.
