Marian Kirby January 17, 1926 - September 17, 2009

Marian M. Kirby (nee Miller), age 83 of Tinley Park, IL, died on Thursday September 17, 2009, after a long battle with Alzheimer''s. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville, MN with Rev. Dr. Larry Griffin officiating. Interment will be at the Janesville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home in Janesville, and will continue on Tuesday morning for one hour prior to services, at church. Marian Kirby was born on January 17, 1926 in Waseca, Minnesota to Frank W. and Margaret A. (Storjohann) Miller. She graduated from Janesville High School, and continued on to complete a course in teletype communications. Marian began her career with United Airlines in Chicago, IL where she met and later married Frank Kirby. Marian and Frank had three daughters and two sons, and later divorced. She continued her career with Continental Insurance in Chicago, IL. Marian was a 50 year member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Tinley Park, IL. She enjoyed bible studies, lunch bunch, needle crafts, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her children Gerald (Cheryl) Kirby of Las Vegas, NV, Linda (Marc) Getty of Lisle, IL, Margaret (Jim) Anderson of Tinley Park, IL, F. Martin (Donna) Kirby of Tinley Park, IL, and Colleen (Paul) Pasquarella of Troutman, NC; by her sister Cleo (Robert) Jacobson of Lake Oswego, OR; by her brother Eugene (Sharon) Miller of Janesville; by fourteen grandchildren, Fancy (Al) Loichinger, Joch Anderson, Michelle Kirby, Derick F. Kirby, Caitlyn Getty, Michael Getty, Christine Anderson, Maureen Getty, Wade Anderson, Kathleen Pasquarella, Emily Pasquarella, Paul Pasquarella, Luke Kirby and Stephanie Kirby; by many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Frank Lyle Miller. Casket bearers are Nancy Miller, Jonathan Derickson, Caitlyn Getty, Michael Getty, Christine Anderson, Wade Anderson, Paul A. Pasquarella and Luke Kirby.
