MARGARET ESTHER SCHWARZ, age 90, of Waseca passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Foxdale Senior Living.
Born on August 10, 1934 at her home on the farm in Minnesota Lake, Margaret was the daughter of Clarence and Meta (Kain) Lentz. She graduated from Minnesota Lake High School where she graduated with the class of 1952. On August 14, 1952, she was united in marriage to Adolph Schwarz at St. John Lutheran Church in Danville Township. Together, they raised two boys: Bob and Gene.
At the start of her career, Margaret was a waitress at the Busy Bee. She worked for EF Johnson for over thirty-four years then worked at Shady Oaks until her retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, road tripping all over the country, and collecting Avon bottles. Margaret was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir.
Margaret is survived by her sons, Gene (Nancy Lee) Schwarz of Waseca, Bob Schwarz of Waseca; sister, Dorothy Kirckof of New Ulm; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Schwarz; parents, Clarence and Meta Lentz; sister, Louisa Schwarz; and brother, Roger Lentz.
Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 PM on Friday, November 29, 2024 at the Third Street Chapel of Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service in Waseca. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca. Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery.
