Margaret (Peggy) Ann Oppegard Schorn, age 62, of Faribault, died on Sunday, October 24, 2010 at her home following an extended illness. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Patrick (7525 Dodd Road) in Shieldsville with the Rev. Erik Lundgren, officiating. Interment will be at the St. Patrick''s Cemetery in Shieldsville. Memorial visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Margaret Ann Oppegard, the daughter of Walter Vernon and Margaret (Dudley) Oppegard, was born on November 14, 1947 in Shieldsville Township, Rice County, Minnesota. She attended Bethlehem Academy High School and later graduated from the Faribault Senior High School with the class of 1965. Peggy was united in marriage to Gordon (Bobby) Anderson. They had three children together and were later divorced. Later she married Ronald Schorn. Peggy worked at Sheldahl in Northfield for 28 years and also at the State of Minnesota in the Human Services Department for 10 years. She loved to sing, play the piano and also play her guitar. Peggy is survived by her three children, Angela (Richard) Jeanes of Faribault, Edward (Lori) Anderson of Maple Grove and Jason (Dineen) Anderson of Faribault; her mother Margaret Oppegard of Faribault; her 14 grandchildren, Jody (Chad) Wilson, Nadine Anderson, Laura Jeanes, Gabriel Anderson, Erica Anderson, Dylan Stadler, Dakota Anderson, Jax Stadler, Dallas Anderson, Maverick Jeanes, Willow Anderson, Hope Jeanes, McKenna Anderson and William Anderson; her two great grandchildren Morgan & Maxwell Wilson; her six siblings, William (Catherine) Oppegard of Shieldsville, Saverna Chapman of St. Paul, David (Karen) Oppegard of Plymouth, Victoria Bishko of Tucson, Ariz, Ramona Liverseed and Theresa Downs, both of Faribault; her aunt Angella Kroska of Rochester; her best friend Nancy Anderson of Faribault and by many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Peggy was preceded in death by her brother Walter Vincent Oppegard; father Walter Vernon Oppegard; brothers-in-law Greg Liverseed and Richard Downs; maternal grandparents William and Angella Dudley and paternal grandparents Walter and Sara Oppegard.
