MARGARET K. MCNEIL, age 87 of Waseca died on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Colony Court in Waseca.
Born on April 12, 1928 in Waseca, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Sylvester and Florence (Byrd) Powell.  She attended school in rural Waseca County and later Waseca Central.  Margaret married Charles "Mike" McNeil on August 7, 1947 at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca.   She worked as a homemaker, did part-time house cleaning, and worked for Itron through the Waseca Senior Citizens.   She enjoyed antiques, ceramics, biking, baking, card club and bingo.  She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca.  Margaret was also a member of the Waseca VFW Auxiliary and a former member of the Eagles where she had also worked.
She is survived by her husband, Charles "Mike" McNeil of Waseca; three daughters, Linda Kay (Larry) Johnson of Janesville, Laurie (Terry) Conway of Janesville, and Sherry (Brad) Root of Waseca; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.  She is also survived by one brother, Ray Powell of Waseca.   She was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Melanie; three brothers; and two sisters. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca with Rev. Paige Whitney officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.   Visitation will be held on Thursday, one hour before services at the church.
