Margaret Malecha July 16, 1924 - August 5, 2009

Margaret C. "Marge" Malecha, age 85, of Faribault, passed away on Wednesday August 5, 2009 at the Faribault Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault with the Rev. Kevin Finnegan, pastor officiating. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Lonsdale, MN. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault. Margaret Christine Pavek, the daughter of Edward and Josie (Tupy) Pavek, was born on July 16, 1924 in Scott County, MN. She attended LeCenter High School. On September 27, 1943 she was united in marriage to Archie Malecha at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery, MN. Mr. Malecha preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1981. Marge had worked for 20 years at the Faribault Regional Center. She was a Foster Grandparent at McKinley Elementary School for 12 years. In retirement Marge and Archie enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises. She also enjoyed playing cards with her friends and at the Eagle''s Club. She is survived by her son Roger (Loretta) Malecha of Faribault; by two grandchildren and two great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, by her daughter, Cheryl "Molly" Malecha on March 31, 2005 and by her brother, Walter Pavek.
