Margaret R. Hager, age 86 of Waseca, died on Saturday, March17, 2012 at Lake Shore Inn of Waseca. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 20th at 1:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Fr. Marty Schaefer, Celebrant. Interment will be in Waseca''s Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Waseca, and will continue on Tuesday afternoon for one hour prior to services at church. There will be a 7:30 p.m. parish prayer service Monday evening at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred to the Sacred Heart Educational Endowment Fund. Margaret Rose was born on September 30, 1925 in Mankato, Minnesota to William and Katherine (Biedscheid) Bohnert. She attended Ss Peter and Paul grade school and graduated from Loyola High School in Mankato. Margaret worked at International Harvester Company as a billing and accounts receivable clerk. She moved to Waseca in 1951 where she worked as a bookkeeper at Osmundson Motors. She married Harvey Schroeder on October 16, 1954. He passed away in July of 1960. There were no children from their marriage. She then met Francis Hager in 1963, and they were united in married on February 8, 1964 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca. Margaret then worked for Webb Oil Company, and later EF Johnson Company. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca. Margaret enjoyed dancing, traveling, and watching her grandchildren grow up. She is survived by her husband Francis and her children, Gary (Mary) Hager of Detroit Lakes, and Jane (Mike) Shorter of Lonsdale; by her four grandchildren, Joe Hager of Detroit Lakes, and Emily, Amanda and Allison Shorter of Lonsdale; by her sister Mary Baynes of Mankato; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Bohnert of Rosemount, Dorothy Bohnert of Mankato and Betty Miller of Lake City; by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; by four sisters and six brothers; by her first husband Harvey Schroeder.
