She attended Rural School District 106 and St. Casimir Parochial School. On May 27, 1957, Margaret was united in marriage to Alvin Leo Kahnke in Wells. Margaret enjoyed gardening and cooking and also took pride in her home at the farm. She unselfishly always put others before her and truly was the heart of her family. Holidays were a special time for Margaret; she always enjoyed having everyone home. Her family was most important to her, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Alvin Kahnke; her daughters, Carol (Paul) Hoffman, Joan (Tim) Brosam, and Sharon (John) Hardel; her grandchildren, Christopher (Kristina), Kaylee (Dan), Kevin, and Payton; her two sisters, Reely (Lawrence) Kahnke and Lillian (Richard) Bush; her sister-in-law, Alice Yainske; her brother-in-law, Eugene (Mary) Kahnke, and by many nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Marvin, Ray, and Phil Yainske; and by her sisters, Maxine Kuechenmeister and Esther Regenscheid.
