Margaret "Carol" Quiram

MARGARET “CAROL” MAE QUIRAM, age 86 of Le Center, died on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Carriage House Senior Living in Le Center.

Born on November 24, 1938 in Lake Park, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Reidar and Margaret Lillian (Frisk) Bakken. She graduated from Lake Park High School in 1956. Carol married Donald Nelson on December 6, 1958 and they were later divorced. After raising her family, Carol worked at the New Richland Care Center and a number of other places in the New Richland area. She married Kenneth Quiram on May 20, 2009. Carol enjoyed dancing, traveling, and flower gardening. 

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; her children, Deb (Bill) Walker, Dave Nelson, Doug Nelson, Curtis (Virginia) Nelson, Susan (Rock) Pagel, Brian (Lisa) Nelson, Mark (partner Rocky) Nelson, and Mike (partner Brenda) Nelson; step-children, Damon (Nicki) Quiram, Sharon (Tim) Holzer, Bryan Quiram, and Lori (Robert) Goettl; step-daughter-in-law, Dawn Quiram; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, James Bakken (friend Linnea Pajari); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, SharLou Quiram, Warren Quiram, and Roger (Judy) Quiram; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; great-grandson, Damien Nolan; step-son, Terrell Quiram; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Noel (Margaret) Quiram, Vera (Milton) Enter, Edna (Herb) Volkmann, Dale Quiram, Rita Quiram, and Dennis (Betty) Quiram.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s “Bell” Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held on Monday, one hour before services at the church. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s “Bell” Lutheran Cemetery.
