Marcellyn A. Johnson July 5, 1931 - March 19, 2015

Marcellyn Johnson, age 83 of Faribault, died Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the Milestone Senior Living in Faribault.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault, with Bernadette Tatge, Pastoral Minister of Divine Mercy Catholic Church officiating. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Marcellyn Alice, the daughter of Orie and Alice (Voegele) Johnson, was born on July 5, 1931 in Warsaw Township, Rice County, MN. She attended Bethlehem Academy High School and graduated with the class of 1949. After high school Marcellyn worked at Jostens in Owatonna, then transferred to Jostens in Hannibal, MO for 15 years. She would return to Faribault and worked in the business office at MSAB and MSAD from 1971 until her retirement in 2009. When she was a young girl she loved to go ice-skating. Later in life she enjoyed going for rides and taking in the countryside and lakes. Marcellyn also loved cats and she had one all of her life.

The family would like to thank the staff of Milestone Senior Living for their kindness and wonderful care of Marcie and Hospice Advantage for their services as well.

She is survived by her first cousins, Walter Krenz, Ramona Kiehne, Robert Voegele, Raymond Voegele, Jane Jeno, James Voegele, Marjorie Christensen and Susan Frank and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
