LYLE RAY SUTTER, age 78 of Waterville, died in the early morning of Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.
Lyle was born on his family’s farm in Waseca County on July 30, 1945 to parents Elmer and Marion (Bosacker) Sutter. He graduated from Waterville High School before enlisting in the United States Air Force. He served his country until his honorable discharge in 1965. On October 28, 1967, Lyle was married to Nana L. Eastwood at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Waterville. They made their life together and raised their children in Waterville. Lyle was an over the road truck driver for most of his working life, and he will be sorely missed by his friends and family.
Lyle is survived by his wife, Nana of Waterville; three children, Terrance Sutter of Waterville, Beth Sutter and her husband Bill Chambers of Waterville, and Eric Sutter of Waseca; six grandchildren, Cody (Abby) Sutter, Tayler (Sean) Entrekin, Maxwell Sutter, Zoe Sutter, Isabel Sutter, and Charlotte Sutter; four great-grandchildren, McKinleigh and Colter Entrekin, and Allis and Charlee Sutter; three sisters, Audrey Hayes of Waseca, Joann Sutlief of Waseca, and Jeanette (Robert) Larson of Waseca; and well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; a daughter in her childhood, Carrie Ann Sutter; two brothers, Richard Sutter and Ernest “Gus” (Peggy) Sutter, a sister, Thelma (Willis) Morsching; and brothers-in-law, Robert Hayes, and Delancy Sutlief; and many other special friends and family.
