Lorraine Miller, age 97, of Faribault, MN, passed away April 10, 2016, at the Medford Senior Care in Medford, MN, following an extended illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Mary Lorraine was born on April 16, 1918, in Faribault to Edward and Josephine (Caron) Thibodeau. She graduated from Bethlehem Academy with the class of 1936. Lorraine was united in marriage to Frederick A. Miller on June 5, 1941, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Faribault. He preceded her in death on November 17, 2001. Lorraine worked as an accountant at Rice County Dairy for over 16 years and was a homemaker for her family. She loved music and played the organ at Sacred Heart for 20 years. She was skilled at sewing and knitting, altering and making clothes for many, and operating her own sewing business out of her home. Lorraine also volunteered her time with the Sacred Heart Rosary Society, CCW, and at Bethlehem Academy, serving as president of the Home & School in 1965.

She is survived by her daughters, Ann (John) Ranslow of Morristown, and Cindy (Marvin) Malecha of San Diego, CA; daughter-in-law, Marlene Miller of Faribault; seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Lillian Thibodeau of Faribault, and Sr. Florence Miller O.P. of Sinsinawa, WI; special friends, Mare and Gary Moore of St. Joseph, MN; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick; parents, Edward and Josephine; son, Brian Miller on October 27, 2001; and brothers, Darrel and Stu Thibodeau.

Memorials may be directed to Bethlehem Academy in memory of Lorraine.
