Lorraine M. Jobe
LORRAINE M. JOBE, age 91 of Waterville, died on Friday, August 16, 2019 at Traditions in Waterville.
Born on February 10, 1928 in Waseca County, she was the daughter of Eldor and Agnes (Kaiser) Kunz. She graduated from Waldorf High School and then completed her teachers training at Le Center Teachers Training Department. After teaching for one year, Lorraine
married Norris Jobe on August 7, 1948 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Waseca County. After raising her family Lorraine enjoyed her employment with Livingood Bakery, Hilltop Terrace and Holy Trinity Catholic Church all in Waterville. Lorraine was a loving and supportive wife and hardworking homemaker. She was efficient and resourceful in managing the household of 16 children and the bookkeeping for her husbands corn shelling business. She was inspirational in creating strong spiritual values in the home. Lorraine had a cheerful disposition and light sense of humor which made her a delight to visit with. She enjoyed family gatherings, playing cards, and attending her childrens many school events. Lorraine was noted for her homemade bread and pies which her sons-in-law often commented on how tasty they were. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters.
Lorraine is survived by sons, James Jobe of Waterville, Kenneth Jobe of Waterville, John (Bernie) Jobe of Pequot Lakes, Daryl Jobe of Grand Rapids, Peter (Lynn) Jobe of Grand Rapids, Paul (Sigri) Jobe of Rochester, Steven Jobe of Monticello, and Andrew Jobe of Grand Rapids; daughters, Nancy (Al) Koczur of Cambridge, Barbara (Ralph) Meehan of Faribault, Jannelle (Gary) Morsching of Waterville, Jeanette (Richard) Taylor of Elysian, Diane (Mike) Miculinich of Buckley, WA, Karen (Russell) Rink of Ramsey, Beverly (Dan) Penn of Andover, and Sharlene (Chris) Lind of Williston, ND; 49 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren and 3 more on the way. She is also survived by one sister, Blanche (Jay) Kramer of Arizona; sister-in-law, Frances Kunz of Waseca and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Lyle Kunz.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 4-7 PM at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waterville and continue on Saturday, one hour before services at the church.
Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville with Rev. Michael Ince officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterville.
