Lorraine Helen Kalbow

LORRAINE HELEN KALBOW, age 94 of Mankato, formerly of Waseca, died on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at the Oaklawn Rehabilitation Center in Mankato.

Born in Iosco Township on March 29, 1926, Lorraine was the daughter of Fred and Lois (Haley) Gieseke. She attended country schools before graduating from Janesville High School. On September 19, 1946, she was married to Orben Bauleke at St. Jarlath Catholic Church. Orben later passed away and Lorraine was remarried to Donald Kalbow on November 15, 1969 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca. Throughout the years Lorraine worked at Olsen’s Stockyard, Montgomery Ward, the Waseca Agricultural School and at the E.F. Johnson Company in Waseca. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Lorraine is survived by her son, Linden (Toni) Bauleke of Waseca; her step-son, Jeff (Annie) Kalbow of Waseca; her grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Heidi (Allen) Anderson, Joshua Kalbow, Jedidah (Jackie) Kalbow, Talitha Kalbow, Chris (Natalie) Bauleke, Jason (Chelsea) O’Brien, Brandon (Jenny) Bauleke, Brooke (Nick) Kuchenbecker, Bridgette (Ryan) Peterson, and Keven (Briana) Bauleke; seventeen great-grandchildren with one more on the way; and one brother, Gordon (Darlene) Gieseke of Bloomington. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; and four siblings.

Funeral services utilizing appropriate social distancing will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca, with Fr. Gregory Leif officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church.
