Lorraine Caron April 8, 1928 - February 19, 2011

Lorraine M. Caron, age 82, of Faribault, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011, at St. Mary''s Hospital in Rochester with her family by her side. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (139 Mercy Dr.) in Faribault. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Lorraine Marie Kern was born on April 8, 1928, to Nicholas and Mary (Voegele) Kern in Walcott Township, Rice County, MN. She married Clifford Caron on April 17, 1947 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault. Lorraine treasured her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and always wanted them close to her. Lorraine loved to sing, both Karaoke and in the church choir, and she and Cliff enjoyed square dancing and country dancing for many years. Cliff and Lorraine participated in the farmers'' market for many years with their handmade crafts. She is survived by her husband, Cliff Caron of Faribault; daughter, LaJune Troolin of Sandstone; sons, Bernard (Cindy), James (Kathy), Daniel (Colleen), and Steven (JoAnn), all of Faribault; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, Lloyd "Pat" (Doris) Kern of West Concord; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Emelda Koester Lehmann and Florence Chavie; and brothers, John and Floyd Kern.
