Lonnie Lee Johannsen

LONNIE LEE JOHANNSEN, age 64 of Owatonna, died on the morning of Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Traditions II in Owatonna.

Born in Owatonna on January 30, 1957, Lonnie was the daughter of Darrell and Lucille (Engelhart) Hoy. She attended school in Waseca. She was married to Jack Johannsen in Waseca and they shared many happy years together until his passing. Over the years, Lonnie worked at the Otisco Creamery, the Old Towne Eatery in Waseca, and in the kitchen at Hy-Vee in Waseca. She enjoyed drawing and cooking, and she loved all animals, especially dogs and the many birds that she raised.

Lonnie is survived by three children, David (Lisa) Timmerman of Waseca, Katie Timmerman of Owatonna, and Michael (Danielle) Timmerman of Waseca; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and four brothers, Devin (Kathy) Hoy of Waterville, Dale (Mary) Hoy of Waseca, Dennis (Karen) Hoy of Waseca, and Dwight (Dani) Hoy of Otisco. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband; and two sisters, Gail Hoy and Ludean Hubal.

A private interment service will be held at St. Olaf Cemetery in New Richland.
