LOLA EDITH SCHUMACHER, age 101 of Waseca, died on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Lake Shore Inn in Waseca.
Born on September 22, 1914 in Summit, South Dakota, she was the daughter of Henry and Ethel (Warner) Bosacker.  Lola attended rural Minnesota schools and married Joseph Paul Schumacher Sr. on August 10, 1936 in Marshall, MN.  Her lifes work has been a loving wife and devoted mother.  Her bountiful garden and beautiful flowers indicated her good stewardship of the earth.  She was a devoted Roman Catholic and active at Sacred Heart Church and School.    Additionally, Lola was employed seasonally at Birds Eye and Waseca Lakeside Club for several years.   She enjoyed gardening, fishing, golf, dancing, and spending time with her family.   She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters, Waseca Senior Citizens, and the Waseca Lakeside Club.
She is survived by her children, Audrey Guion of Johnson City, TN, Nancy and husband, Craig Burnham of DePere, WI, and Chuck Schumacher of Waseca; daughters-in-law, Sherri Schumacher of Waseca and Millie Schumacher of Springfield, MO; 18 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.   She is also survived by siblings, Katie Tegals of Oak Park, IL, and Ruth Sybilrud of Waseca; and many nieces and nephews.    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul, two sons, Joe and Jim; daughter-in-law, Judith; son-in-law, Joe Guion Sr.; grandchildren, Mary Ann, Scott, Janet, Pamela, Ann, Susan, Robert, and David; sisters, Alice and husband, Edgar Heilman, Margaret and husband, Vick Born, Crystal and husband, Jim Rohl, Florence and husband, Oscar Berendt, Martha Lanoue; and brothers, Ralph, Vick, Huey, and Jay Bosacker.
Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca, with a parish prayer service to begin at 7:00 PM.  Visitation will continue for one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30AM on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Rev. Gregory Leif officiating.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waseca.
