Lloyd Jorgenson, age 71, of Waseca, died on Monday evening, May 6, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Health System St. Marys Campus in Rochester.
Visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, May 14, at Starkson & Steffel Funeral & Cremation Service ~ McRaith Chapel of Waseca.
Interment will be 10:45 AM on Wednesday, May 15, at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis at Assembly Area #2.

Lloyd William Jorgenson was born on November 29, 1947 in Minneapolis to Lloyd and Helen (Kinn) Jorgenson. He graduated in 1965 from Eden Valley High School where he excelled in Football and Track. Following his education he enlisted into the United States Army. He was subsequently deployed and served his country in the Vietnam War proudly wearing the Screaming Eagle of the 101st Airborne. He earned an Army Commendation Medal and was honorably discharged in 1968. Following his time in the service, young Lloyd went West for 4 years before moving to Waseca to work on the railroad with a friend from the War. While in Waseca, he was married to Cindy Street and together had two children. In addition to working on the railroad he owned and operated Dirty Lloyds in Otisco. He was later married to Patricia Kreis and they had three children together. Lloyd lived in various places throughout his life, from the California Mountains, Florida, Washington and Hawaii. Many of these places he lived with other Vietnam Veterans.
The time Lloyd spent in the service followed him throughout his life. Lloyd would often say, "I went to Vietnam with 143 best friends and came back with 7". In his last 10 years, Lloyd moved back to Minnesota and was diligent in reuniting with old friends and his family..He in turn was able to create meaningful relationships with his children, grandchildren other family and friends that they will cherish forever. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his sons: Larce (Lisa), Kenny, and William (Araceli); daughters: Rebecca (Bo) Devore-Brown, and Bridgette Jorgenson; grandchildren: Mackenzie, Anders, and Lylah Jorgenson, Christian and Ethan Jorgenson, Carsten and Ivory Devore, and Tyler Kapferer; brother, Jim (Nancy) Jorgenson; nephews: Paul Reese and Michael Jorgenson; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Linda and Judy.
