Linus Leo Hoehn was born on October 26, 1924 in Mankato to Leo and Bernadine (Dauk) Hoehn. He attended school in Madison Lake and in 1942, he enlisted to the United States Navy where he served for two years before being honorably discharged. He was then united in marriage to Helen Glynn on May 20, 1948 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault.
Linus and Helen raised their family on the farm as farming was very important to Linus. As a result, he farmed with his brothers, son and nephews for many years. He was a member of the 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Janesville American Legion, Lakeshore Golf Course and Prairie Ridge Golf Course in Janesville. Linus started golfing when he was 55 years old and had his first and only hole in one (Hole #10, 165 yards, Par 3) at Lakeside Golf Course in Waseca on July 11, 1990. He enjoyed his time golfing with Helen. His faith was first in his life. Together, Linus and Helen said the rosary every night and took an hour a week to spend in the Adoration Chapel. They spent many hours delivering Home Delivered Meals. In retirement they spent many winters in Texas and made a lot of close friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Latham Place, Lake Shore Inn Nursing Home, and Anne Clayton for the special care that they gave Linus.
