LaVon Marie Robeck

LaVon Marie Robeck, lifelong resident of Janesville passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Whispering Creek in Janesville at the age of 91. 

LaVon was born on February 1, 1933, in Waseca to George and Luella (Rux) Tetzloff. She was baptized as an infant and confirmed in her faith in her youth, both at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. She received her education at Janesville Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1951. On June 7, 1953, LaVon was united in marriage to Dale Robeck at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville and together made their home in Janesville where they raised four children. 

LaVon worked at E.F. Johnson Co. in Waseca for many years before going to work at General Electric in Mankato for 14 years, retiring in 1998. In retirement she stayed busy working part time at BP In Janesville for over 5 years along with volunteering at Church where she was a member of the Ladies Aid, Funeral Committee, Dorcas, the Trinity Quilters, and frequently attended bible study. LaVon enjoyed baking, canning, and especially spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. 

LaVon is survived by her children: Bruce Robeck of Madison Lake, Brian Robeck of Le Sueur, and Jodi Gens (Rick Rosenbauer) of Janesville; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; siblings: Hazel Endersbe of Mora and Dave Tetzloff of Edina; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Jeff Robeck, and brother, Bob Tetzloff. 

Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM on Monday, May 20, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville with Rev. Kristian Bjornstad, officiating. Interment will be in Smith Mill Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
