Larry Miller, age 65, of Faribault, died on Monday, September 6, 2010 at his home following an extended illness. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Our Savior''s Lutheran Church in Faribault, with Reverend Allan Nelson, officiating. Memorial visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Larry Cordell Miller, the son of Darrell and Dorothy (Smith) Miller was born on January 13, 1945 in Park Rapids, Minnesota. After graduating from high school, Larry enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. He later received honorable discharge in June of 1969. On May 12, 1967, Larry was united in marriage to Sandra Thompson in Bloomington, Minnesota. He was a carpet layer for over 30 years. Larry enjoyed golfing, playing pool, wood carving, playing guitar and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the American Legion Post 43 of Faribault and the VFW Post 1562 also of Faribault. He is survived by his wife, Sandy of Faribault; his children Tanya (Pat) Eliasen of Grand Marais, MN, Tara (Bill) Lockman of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Teresa (Alan) Dobson and Erin (Shaun) Linnane, both of Faribault; his eight grandchildren and one great grandchild; his brothers Marty (Wendy) Smith of Rancho Cucamonga, CA and Jeff (Nadine) Miller of Park Rapids, MN and by other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother and sister in infancy Gary Miller and Lauryl Miller.
